A trail, a cup of coffee, a photo from the land, or a wall finally standing where there used to be only dust. The letter keeps the frame calm so the place can carry the warmth.

Good morning from the bluff trail.
The fog has not lifted, the coffee has gone cold in my hand, and there is a list in my pocket for the next trip out to the land.
One more small thing is done, which is mostly how a home gets made: a little slower than you hoped, and a little more honest than you planned.
